Human bone found in Gold Coast seaway

A bone believed to be human has been found in a popular Gold Coast waterway.

A recreational diver found the bone off The Spit last Thursday and handed it into police over the weekend.

Officers believe it's a human bone and are having it analysed by forensic experts.

It's unknown how long the bone had been in the water.

Police are scouring the area where it was found.
