More details of the panic and terror experienced by the Lindt Cafe hostages has emerged, with another day of witness evidence expected as the NSW coroner continues to investigate the Sydney siege.

Hostage Selina Win Pe will be first in the box when the inquest resumes today after hearing from Marcia Mikhael, Joel Herat and Harriette Denny - all held captive by Man Haron Monis at the Martin Place cafe in December 2014.

Ms Mikhael said she initially thought the siege was a prank and later told the inquest she felt like police weren't doing enough to help those trapped in the cafe.

The inquest will continue for another six weeks.
