A 55-year-old woman has faced court after allegedly stabbing a man in the stomach in Melbourne's CBD.
The woman faced court in an out-of-hours session last night, charged with recklessly causing injury, intentionally causing injury and other assault charges, and will face the Melbourne Magistrates Court again today.
The 29-year-old victim, stabbed in Elizabeth Street in broad daylight on Wednesday afternoon, suffered serious injuries to his stomach and was taken to hospital.
His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Senior Sergeant Adam Tanner last night said they were trying to determine the relationship between the pair.
