Teen appears in court after violent home invasion

A teen has appeared in court over the brutal bashing of 86-year-old widower Bob Humphries, south of Adelaide.
The 17-year-old, who is on bail, allegedly invaded Mr Humphries' South Goolwa home last week.

He is accused of repeatedly hitting Mr Humphries as the elderly man tried to call for help.
Mr Humphries spent two days in hospital with a fractured cheek bone.

"Didn't lose any teeth, but my teeth went through my bottom lip," he said.
The teen was not represented by a lawyer today, and will seek legal advice before his next court appearance in April.
