Suspicious fires damage home and shed in Melbourne

Police are investigating after two properties were damaged by separate fires in Melbourne this morning.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Main Road, near Millawa Avenue in St Albans, around 7am following reports of a fire.

The residence was unoccupied at the time of the blaze, which took around 15 minutes to control.

Hours later, a shed on Marchant Avenue, Reservoir, was attended to by fire crews and extinguished shortly after.

No one was injured in either incident.

Investigations into both blazes are ongoing, the Metropolitan Fire Brigade said.
