Cyclist killed in hit-run crash in Victoria's west

A cyclist has been killed in a hit-run crash in Victoria's west.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision in Ballarat early this morning are yet to be determined.

Emergency services were called to La Trobe Street in Delacombe just about 5.40am, where they found a male cyclist who died at the scene.

The car police are investigating. Victoria Police

Investigators believe the 60-year-old Ballarat man was hit by a vehicle which then left the scene.

They have released a CCTV image of a car in the hope someone may recognise it.

The car they are searching for is described as a light-coloured, small, sporty sedan.

Police are calling for anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
