Hit and run leaves Sydney man in hospital

A truck driver has been charged after he allegedly hit a taxi driver getting out of his car in Sydney's west.
The 61-year-old taxi driver is in a critical condition after being treated at the scene of the crash, which happened about 6.30am on Thursday at St Marys.
A 46-year-old man has been charged with negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and failing to stop and render assistance after impact.

He is due to appear at Penrith Local Court on Tuesday, June 6.
