Tradie 'rich list' reveals best paid jobs
The highest paid tradies in Australia have been revealed, with some earning nearly $100 per hour.
Being a plumber in Victoria is the list of most lucrative job, with them taking home an average of $91 per hour this year, according to serviceseeking.com.au
Coming in a close second are plumbers in New South Wales who pull in $86 per hour – a 16 percent increase over last year.
Tilers in Brisbane have seen the sharpest increase in pay year-over-year with their salaries jumping 65 percent to $62 per hour.
Plumbers and tilers in South Australia were the only tradies to see a decrease in pay, down two percent and 30 percent respectively.
The hourly rates do not include the cost of labour but did factor in costs like insurance, tools, work vehicles and superannuation, the report said.
Over the past year hourly rates have risen by an average of four percent.
The prices were derived by comparing a sample of more than 50,000 quotes.

Plumbers in Victoria, up 21 percent to $91.21 per hour
Plumbers in New South Wales, up 16 percent to $85.98 per hour
Builders in South Australia, up 29 percent to $77.76 per hour
Electricians in South Australia, up 26 percent to $79.13 per hour
Plasterers in Perth, up 20 percent to $59.29 per hour
Painters in Adelaide, up 18 percent to $47.68 per hour.
Tilers in Brisbane, up by 65 percent to $62.16 per hour.
