Heart Foundation rallies SA budget action

The Heart Foundation is urging the South Australian government to allocate more funds to improving people's heart health in its next budget.

The foundation's SA budget submission outlines five actions to help save lives, including funding research on what districts need more heart services and funding regional walking groups to help keep people active.

It has also recommended developing a cardiac rehabilitation phone service for metropolitan Adelaide to help prevent people being readmitted to hospital for heart issues.
