McDonald’s runs out of hash browns
Panic erupted at the Golden Arches this morning after a shortage of hash browns struck several of the fast-food chain’s branches.
Hungry patrons snapped photos of signs announcing French fries would be served in lieu of the popular breakfast staple at numerous McDonald's drive-thrus in Victoria.

The chain has since revealed a temporary “supplier issue” was the cause of the problem.
"All affected restaurants will be re-stocked today," a McDonald's spokesperson said in an official statement.
The update will no doubt come as a relief for those craving a savoury hash brown after the sweetness of hot cross buns and chocolate bunnies this Easter long weekend.
