Family killed in massacre farewelled at joint funeral

Five members of one family, including three children, have been laid to rest at a joint funeral after a massacre in Perth.

Mara Harvey along with her daughters Charlotte, three, and two-year-old twins Alice and Beatrix, were discovered dead inside their Bedford home in Perth's northeast last month.

Her mother Beverley Anne Quinn, 73, also died at the location.

Police allege all five were murdered by Anthony Robert Harvey, Mara's husband and the girl's father.

Taryn Tottman, who lost her mother, sister and three nieces in the tragedy, thanked the public and friends for their support.

"My family were very private people and my mum would have been horrified by all the attention that they have received," she said.

"But more than that, I also know that they would have been absolutely humbled and blown away by the amount of love, care and support not only they have received, but for my remaining family also.

"The world is a lot colder now," Ms Tottman said, while speaking about her youngest niece Beatrix.

She also promised her family: "I will try to live each day the best that I can for you, I will try to make decisions and take actions that you would be proud of.

"I love you all. Goodbye for now."

Mr Harvey allegedly stayed in the family home for days after the killings before driving to Panawonica police station, in Western Australia's Pilbara region.

The 24-year-old has been charged with five counts of murder.
