Major peak hour delays after Sydney Harbour Tunnel crash

A truck and car crash in the Sydney Harbour Tunnel has caused heavy delays for motorists during peak hour. 

The tunnel has reopened southbound after earlier being closed to motorists while the truck was towed away and the crash site was cleared.

One patient was taken to St Vincent's Hospital for treatment following the crash.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journey, with traffic backed up as much as eight kilometres to the Lane Cove Tunnel.

Buses heading towards the city along the Gore Hill Freeway are delayed up to 15 minutes due to the heavy traffic.
