Pauline Hanson blasts ABC 'stitch up' as One Nation turns 20

Pauline Hanson marked One Nation's 20th anniversary with a tirade against the ABC.

In a video on her Facebook page celebrating two decades since the founding of her populist party, Senator Hanson said the occasion had been marred by the national broadcaster's 'stitch up' of her.

The firebrand Queenslander told followers her parliamentary visit to Afghanistan had been cancelled after it was disclosed on ABC's Insider show.

Her remarks come less than a month after Senator Hanson declared the national broadcaster should be sold because of its political bias

She said her trip to Afghanistan had been cancelled due to a "security threat and risk".

"I was really looking forward to it," she said. 

"It was about getting to know the place, understanding what was happening over there, communicating with our men and women who are over there, understanding what their mums and dads and other family members actually feel with them being over there, to actually have a talk."

Senator Hanson's denunciation of the ABC came after a recent Four Corners report examined her use of a plane purchased for use by her and her chief of staff, James Ashby, by Victorian property developer Bill McNee.

The aircraft was not declared to Federal Parliament as a gift and the Australian Electoral Commission is reportedly investigating the matter to determine if One Nation has broken disclosure guidelines.

"The stitch up that was done on Four Corners, what a stitch up that was," Senator Hanson said.

She made little mention of the programme's allegations in her social media video but declared she would address the matter "in my own time when I feel it's right".
