Guns stolen from Brisbane school

Rifles and shotguns have been stolen from a prestigious Brisbane Catholic school.

Police are questioning a man, 43, and woman, 27, over the theft from the rifle range at St Joseph's Nudgee College on Sunday night.

No charges have been laid.

"There were a number of firearms taken - some of them located, but we're trying to recover the rest," a police spokeswoman told AAP.

She was unable to say how many guns were yet to be found.
