Group questioned over multiple ram raids in Queensland

Four people – including a teenaged boy – have been arrested following a string of ram raids that saw an Ipswich service station targeted twice in the same week.

The Goodna service station was raided early Thursday morning, with three balaclava-clad thieves bursting in after a ute was smashed through the front glass doors.

Police allege the group reversed the vehicle through the glass and then climbed in through the large hole.

A back room was broken into and the thieves allegedly poured kerosene over shop stock before fleeing with cash and cigarettes.

It was the second time the shop had been raided in less than a week. Four similarly dressed offenders smashed into the shop early Monday morning.

A stolen car was used during Monday’s ram-raid.

Police today arrested four men, who are expected to be charged with break and enter.
