A South Australian greyhound trainer has been found guilty of racing a dog drugged with amphetamine.

It's No Myth tested positive after winning a race in October last year.

A Greyhound Racing South Australia stewards inquiry today suspended Todd Kelly for 15 months and fined him $5000.

Kelly had pleaded not guilty to the charge and told 9NEWS he plans to appeal the verdict and suspension.

The verdict comes amid calls for a parliamentary inquiry into the South Australian greyhound industry following the live baiting scandal in New South Wales.
