Greens vote hits record level

The Australian Greens vote has risen to a record 16.5 per cent in the latest Morgan poll.

The poll, published on Monday, has Labor leading the Liberal-National coalition 55-45 on a two-party basis.

Pollster Gary Morgan said the Greens vote reflected that voters are looking for alternatives to the major parties.
