Greens renew call for corruption watchdog

The Australian Greens have renewed their call for a federal anti-corruption commission following misconduct allegations against One Nation advisor James Ashby.

The minor party intends reintroducing legislation to establish a national ICAC after taped recordings emerged of Mr Ashby appearing to suggest ways of profiting from One Nation candidates.

"This is a man who thinks it's ok to rip off his own candidates in an effort to make more money for Pauline Hanson's political party," Greens leader Richard Di Natale told reporters in Canberra on Tuesday.
