Greens call on Nationals leader to quit

The Australians Greens say Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce should resign his frontbench role and the Nationals leadership in the wake of the scandal over his relationship with a former staffer.

The Greens party room unanimously resolved the position at a meeting in Canberra on Tuesday.

Mr Joyce issued a statement on Tuesday denying any breach of ministerial standards over the affair.
