Govt slams Labor filibustering on reforms

Government frontbencher Scott Ryan has slammed as "juvenile" Labor's filibustering over draft laws to change the way Australians vote for senators.

Labor is questioning why the government has not produced documents requested by the Senate in relation to the reforms, due to be tabled in parliament on Thursday morning, with the Senate passing another motion demanding details of the government's agreement with the Greens.

Greens leader Richard Di Natale said the reforms were a long-held position of the party and reminded Labor of a 2010 agreement it signed with the Greens to carry out the reforms.
