Govt invests generously in sport: Morrison
AAP
Treasurer Scott Morrison has defended the government's generous investment in sport but has reminded people it's not all about winning.
On the back of a disappointing Australian performance at the Rio Games, Mr Morrison said $340 million was provided in the lead-up to the Olympics and a normal review will take place in its aftermath.
"We invest generously in sport but the reason for it at the end of the day is so young people, people at all ages remain active," he told 2GB radio on Monday.
