Govt eyes options over children of terror

The Turnbull government is weighing up options on how to deal with the children of terrorists operating overseas who may have a claim to Australian citizenship, Immigration Minister Peter Dutton says.

He said the children who have been taken to these war zones by their parents are either killed in the battle of war or have been indoctrinated.

"We are talking about the possible threat emerging because of what somebody has learnt in the trade-craft of terrorism overseas. Bringing that back to Australia can result in the loss of many Australian lives," Mr Dutton told Sky News on Sunday.
