The federal government is moving to reduce the paperwork burden for meat exporters, fishermen and others in agriculture.

Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce on Thursday introduced to parliament a new bill that removes unnecessary regulations and streamlines administrative practices.

Among the beneficiaries will be fisheries permit holders, who won't have to complete annual application forms under the proposed changes, and meat exporters who won't need a licence to export meat by-products such as skin, hide, tallow and other products not for human consumption.
