Govt appointment for ACTU boss Kearney

The Abbott government has reappointed union boss Ged Kearney to a ministerial advisory council on skilled migration.
The Australian Council of Trade Unions president served on the panel along with three other unionists under the previous Labor government before it was disbanded when the coalition came to power.
Assistant Immigration Minister Michaelia Cash reinstated the council on Tuesday, appointing nine members including Australian Industry Group chief Innes Willox to examine issues such as worker exploitation and the occupation list for 457 visa eligibility.
