Man dies in highway crash near Goulburn

A man has died after his van hit a tree on a highway, 90 kilometres north-east of Canberra.
Emergency services were called to Yarra at around 1.30pm following reports of a single-vehicle crash.
It’s understood the van hit the tree after veering off the Federal Highway.
Police say the man was the sole occupant of the vehicle and died at the scene.
Officers from The Hume Police District have established a crime scene and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
One of two southbound lanes is currently closed and drivers have been urged to exercise caution.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
