Fig the fox gets prosthetic paw

A friendly fox has been given a brand new prosthetic paw after losing part of his leg as a pup.

Fig, a Northern American fox, tried out his bionic addition for the first time this week, and his carer shared an adorable video to Instagram of him taking his new wheels for spin.

“Today was his first time wearing his new gadget, so he’s definitely not used to it. He mostly drug (sic) it around and tried to get it off.

“I plan to introduce it slowly, only asking him to wear it for short periods of time, this will help him slowly grow accustom to having a foot where there hasn’t ever been one!”

Fig was born in captivity and descends from fur-farm foxes. Because of his genetic differences he cannot be released into the wild.

He lives with his brother Juniper in a home full of rescued exotic animals.
