Heist mastermind pleads guilty to $3.9m robbery at Melbourne Gold Company
The mastermind behind the Victoria's third-largest gold heist has pleaded guilty to multiple charges.
Melbourne Gold Company worker Daniel Ede pretended to be the victim of a $3.9 million theft, but actually staged the robbery at the Collins Street business with friend and co-accused Karl Kachami in April.

The pair later stashed the treasure trove of gold bullion, cash and jewellery in a regional town near Gippsland, aptly named Dollar.
Mr Ede today pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary and theft in Melbourne Magistrates' Court.
Mr Kachami, who was arrested two days after the robbery, earlier pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary, theft and firearms offences in August.
The pair will return to court on October 29.
