Thief pulls knife on Gold Coast resident in bungled home invasion
A thief has been caught on camera breaking into a Gold Coast home before pulling a knife on a resident.
Security video shows the intruder, wearing a hood, mask and gloves, break open the locked front door of the Bundall home before pinching an electric skateboard and changing his mask.
Mark Eldridge, his wife and two children were asleep upstairs, unaware the thief was in their home until the lights came on just before 2am.

Mr Eldridge told 9News he chased the thief outside and around the corner before he turned and pulled a knife.
"He lunged at me three or four times so he was trying to stab me... and I thought, 'ahh this guy is not mucking around'," Mr Eldgridge told 9News.
Police arrested a 32-year-old man nearby and charged him with burglary, armed robbery and drug possession.
The stolen property was retrieved.
The man was today denied bail until his next court appearance.
