Gold Coast road rage attack caught on camera

A group of friends driving in Surfers Paradise on Sunday say they were the victims of an unprovoked road rage attack.

One passenger recorded video on his mobile phone as a man started punching the group’s car and trying to force his way in about midnight.

He can be seen punching the windows and trying to reach in to the teenagers as they waited at a red light.

The group claim they had “no idea” who the man was, or why they were targeted.

“We called out to a couple of friends and this dude runs over and probably took it personally, tried to break our window down,” victim Matthew Mosca said.

“Thankfully we had locked the doors beforehand.”

Witnesses to the incident said after the car drove off, the man continued to confront passers-by on the street and attacked a German tourist.

Police were notified but no arrests have been made.
