Man assisting police after Gold Coast public safety warning

A man is assisting police after a public safety warning was issued for people to avoid a Gold Coast industrial estate.
The emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act was issued early on Tuesday morning for several streets in the northern Gold Coast suburb of Ashmore.

Anyone in United and Dominions roads and Corporation and Community drives was told to stay indoors, with others warned to stay away.
The alert has now been revoked.
"The incident has been resolved safely and a man is assisting police," Queensland Police said in a statement.
