Two-storey home destroyed in massive blaze on Gold Coast
A massive fire has brought down a two-storey home on the Gold Coast, with multiple fire crews on site this morning.
The inferno engulfed the home just after 2am in Upper Coomera.
Brett Watson of QFES told 9News that thankfully, everybody inside the home had made it out safely.

He said the blaze had been visible to approaching firefighters from some way out.
"There was definitely some difficulties in putting the fire out," he said.
"But the crews have done a wonderful job in doing that and protecting the houses on either side."

The blaze erupted in Upper Coomera early this morning. 9News
Locals reported hearing cracks and bangs from the blaze several streets away.
The cause has not yet been officially determined.
However, Watson told 9News, the occupants of the destroyed home said there had been a scooter charging indoors, that had been on fire when the residents fled.
He said there had been a number of fires sparked by scooter batteries recently.
