Man shot by police after Gold Coast incident
Exclusive footage shows the moment police opened fire on a man on a Gold Coast street.
Officers say the man in his 30s armed himself with a chainsaw, then a pair of machetes before lunging at a senior constable.
That's when the officer opened fire.

A single shot hit the man in the leg and police rushed to his aid.
They applied a tourniquet to his right thigh, saving his life, Queensland Police Union president Shane Prior said.
Paramedics loaded the man onto a stretcher and took him to hospital under police guard.
Authorities descended on the Burleigh Heads home just after 7pm following reports the man was wielding a chainsaw and making threats.
Witness Colby Dickson said the man was "just walking up and down the street with the chainsaw".

Those on the street were told to stay inside and lock their doors.
9News understands a woman ran from the home before police moved in.
The man allegedly swapped his chainsaw for a pair of blades.
"It will be alleged a male person confronted the officer while holding two machetes," Prior said.
"You cannot get any more dangerous than that."
The man remains in hospital, facing the prospect of multiple serious charges.
Support has been offered to the officer who fired the shot, a 37-year-old senior constable and member of the Coast's Rapid Action Patrol Squad.
The incident under review by the Ethical Standards Command.
