Balaclava-clad man robbed Gold Coast service station at knifepoint

A man armed with a knife and wearing a balaclava has fled after robbing a service station at Southport.
Security footage shows him entering the Southport station and waving a knife at the attendant.
The robbery happened about 6pm last night, Queensland Police Service said in a statement.

After taking the cash, the man fled on foot and was last seen running down Johnston Street.
Police have described him as Caucasian and said he was last seen wearing a dark beanie, sunglasses, a long sleeved shirt and gloves.
The service station employee was not physically harmed.
