Glenn Lazarus teams footy shorts with suit for TV interview

Senator Glenn Lazarus has turned heads in Canberra after being spotted sporting footy shorts with a business shirt and tie.
The rugby league legend-turned-politician was snapped leaving a TV interview on ABC News 24 this morning with the unusual fashion pairing, having seemingly been all business while seated.
An ABC photographer later spotted Mr Lazarus eating a steak sandwich, briefcase in hand, with suit pants and jacket back on.

ninemsn has contacted Mr Lazarus for comment.
Dubbed 'the brick with eyes' during his 1990s playing days, Lazarus was elected to the Senate in 2013 as a member of the Palmer United Party.
He quit PUP in March last year to form his own party, The Glenn Lazarus Team.
