Radio star Glenn Wheeler expected to pull through after scooter crash

Sydney radio star Glenn Wheeler is expected to pull through after being knocked off his scooter in Sydney's south.

Radio host Ben Fordham said on 2GB this afternoon that Wheeler was expected to make a recovery and was being kept in an induced coma to recuperate from the injuries he sustained, including a severed artery in one leg.

Despite some bleeding on the brain, the family are reportedly optimistic about the 2GB and Channel Seven Morning Show presenter's recovery.

Radio colleague Alan Jones said Wheeler's family has been told by doctors there's a good chance he will recover fully.

"The brain is swollen - we won't know exactly what the future holds but there is every hope I'm told that the brain will be okay, although the recovery will be long and demanding", Jones said.
