A teenage girl is fighting for her life after suffering extensive burns in a house fire in southeast Queensland.

Emergency crews were called to the home on Cooper St in Laidley, in the Lockyer Valley west of Brisbane, about 10am on Thursday and pulled the 14-year-old from the blaze.

An ambulance spokeswoman said the girl was taken to Laidley Hospital but is being transferred by helicopter to another hospital in Brisbane.

She is in a critical condition with extensive burns to her body, she said.

A woman in her mid-40s was taken to Laidley Hospital for smoke inhalation, but is being moved on to the bigger Ipswich Hospital for further treatment.

Two men, aged 18 and 45, were also assessed at the scene, but were not injured.

An emergency services spokeswoman said firefighters had extinguished the blaze by 11am.

Investigations into how it started are continuing.
