Girl, 2, dies after being hit by car in driveway

A two-year-old girl has died after being hit by a car in the driveway of a home on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the property on Finger Hill Road, Cowell, just before 1pm following reports a toddler had been struck by a car.

Paramedics worked to save the child, but she died at the scene.

The 27-year-old man behind the wheel of the car was not injured, and continues to assist police with their investigations.

Major Crash investigators will also probe the fatal incident.

The girl’s death comes just four days after a fifteen-month old boy died after being hit in the driveway of Parafield Gardens home.
