The parents of a soldier killed in Afghanistan have helped the governor-general open a new recovery centre for war veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
Hugh and Janny Poate lost their son Robert when he was killed in action in 2012. He was 23 years-old.
The Robert Poate Centre now has a permanent home in Canberra and will become the headquarters for Soldier On.
