Gerard Baden-Clay barred from his murdered wife's $1 million estate

Killer husband Gerard Baden-Clay won't be able to access any part of his murdered wife Allison's $1 million estate. 

Ms Baden-Clay's family today made an uncontested application for full administration of her estate, including life insurance and superannuation policies, which was granted by Brisbane Supreme Court Justice Peter Applegarth.

Her father Geoffrey Dickie has been made the sole administrator of her will and Baden-Clay, who was convicted of the murder in 2014, has been barred from receiving any benefit.

Baden-Clay murdered his wife in their Brisbane home in April 2012, before telling police she had disappeared while on a late-night walk.

Her body was found dumped by a creek ten days later, and Baden-Clay was later charged.

Ms Baden-Clay had signed a will in 1997 naming her husband as the sole beneficiary and executor.

In the event he died before her, the estate would be left to their children.

Baden-Clay, a former real estate agent, is currently serving a life sentence.

He renounced his right to be executor in December while behind bars at Wolston Correctional Centre.
