Gen Y ridicule 'Vote Liberal' Snapchat filter

A Snapchat filter urging young Australians to vote Liberal at this weekend's election has been widely ridiculed on social media.

The filter features an Australian-flag emblazoned ballot box with an animated hand dropping a sheet of paper with 'vote Liberal' written on the inside.

Once the vote has been cast a banner reading 'A Plan That Works' falls from the top of the skin as red, white and blue confetti drops.

But Gen Y have taken to social media to lambast the Liberal Party's clear attempt to target them ahead of tomorrow's vote.

The most common alterations to the slogan were 'Don't Vote Liberal' or 'Vote Liberal Last'.

Many have also criticised the Liberal Party's vain attempt at trying to court Gen Y.
