JOHN LEWIS' KNOWLEDGE OF ABUSE BY LATE 1991

* Geelong Grammar headmaster from 1980 to 1994

1982 - Allegation that teacher/housemaster fondled student BKM during massage; tried to have sex with him (Harvey denies)

1986 - Allegation student BKZ sexually abused by Harvey and at least one other person during private overseas trip. Lewis says father didn't want it investigated.

1986 - Can't remember being told teacher/tutor Andrew MacCulloch masturbated a student

1989 - Boarder BIW's complaint that woke to a man molesting him. Lewis says didn't have clear knowledge of allegation details; can't recall BIW was expelled. (Boarding house assistant Philippe Trutmann admits abuse years later)

1991 - Several senior staff raise concerns about Harvey's conduct and relationship with students. Lewis says they were general concerns, not about sexual abuse

1991 - Andrew MacCulloch's history of relationships with students causing concern and distress to some boys and their parents. Lewis says no knowledge of any sexual or physical abuse.

* Lewis did not go to police about any of the allegations.
