A group of up to 20 youths have a stormed a residence in Melbourne's west, smashing up two cars in a violent home invasion.
The gang forced their way into the Wyndham Vale property at Munroe Drive about 9pm yesterday.
Police have since charged a 21-year-old man with weapons offences and resisting police.

Another man arrested at the time has been released and is expected to be charged on summons in relation to the incident.
Sergeant Julie-Anne Newman said police believed it was a "targeted attack" due to a number of "ongoing issues" between two groups of people.
Police have charged a man after they were called to a report that up to 20 people had attended a residential address, damaged cars and had forced their way into the property in Wyndham Vale last night," Sgt Newman said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
