EB Games Australia set to close 20 stores: report

Twenty EB Games stores are reportedly set to close across Australia, placing a question mark over the future of the iconic gaming business.

The company emailed its EB World members today to advise of store closures, a post to Oz Bargain revealed.

The notice included a 20 to 60 per cent discount off items storewide.

"All stock must go. Our last day here Saturday 26 January," the email read.

The stores affected by the closures are believed to six in New South Wales, five in Queensland, four in Adelaide, two in Victoria, two in Western Australia and one in the Australian Capital Territory.

Calls to EB Games Australia's head office rang out.

The company is yet to make an official statement about the closure.

NSW – Blacktown, Rockdale, Winston Hills, Birkenhead Point, Inverell, Tamworth
