Games drug testing to cost $4.2 million

The 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast will have one of the most sophisticated anti-doping programs at any major sports event.
The federal government will provide $1.8 million for the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority and Australian Sports Drug Testing Laboratory to provide the program.
A further $2.4 million split between state and federal sources will be spent on testing during the games.
