Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove has spent more than $8000 on the vice-regal Rolls-Royce since he came to office.
That is despite the 1970 Phantom VI only being used 11 times since his March 2014 swearing in.
The $8112.90 covered repairs, servicing, types and running costs from March 2014 to June 30 this year, his official secretary said in answer to a Senate estimates question on notice.
