Free rego for electric cars: Greens
AAP
People who buy electric cars would be given five years free registration under a Greens plan.
Leader Richard Di Natale announced the policy in Sydney on Wednesday to get 31,000 electric vehicles on the road by 2021 and build 330 more charging stations.
The Greens also want subsidies for government and non-government electric car fleets and to lift the luxury car tax to 50 per cent for fossil fuel vehicles worth $100,000 or more.
