Alleged street brawl in Sydney's west sparked by 'heart emoji' in WhatsApp group
Two men and two teenagers are expected to face court over an alleged brawl in Sydney's west, that is believed to have been sparked by a misunderstanding between two couples on social media app WhatsApp.
Police were called to Rosina Street, Fairfield about 5.15pm yesterday after reports of a brawl.
When police arrived, they were told that a group of men and women had become involved in the melee.

A number of bricks and wooden sticks were allegedly used in the chaos.
9News understands the feud was allegedly sparked when one of the men reacted with a heart emoji on a photo of a family friend's wife on WhatsApp.
The seemingly innocent act was allegedly mistaken as inappropriate.
One of the men's wife claims bricks from their own front yard were used as weapons against her husband.
She also alleged the group was waiting for them when they returned home from the shops.
Paramedics were called to the scene and treated two men, aged 21 and 40 for injuries.

They were taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
The 21-year-old was then later arrested and taken to Fairfield Police Station.
A 38-year-old man and a 53-year-old man, were also arrested, along with two teenage boys. The two men were charged with affray, and the older man was charged with one count of being armed with the intent to commit an offence.
They were refused bail and were expected to appear Fairfield Local Court today.

No charges have been laid against the 21-year-old.
