Former NRL player Brett Finch has been slapped with two extra charges over an adult chat service that was allegedly used to share child abuse material.

Finch was arrested and charged in December last year following a NSW Police search of a home in Sans Souci, in Sydney's south, where officers found and seized a mobile phone.

The 40-year-old now faces a total of seven charges.
