Flu monitored at Tas aged care facilities

Clusters of influenza-like illnesses are being monitored at several Tasmanian health and aged care facilities following the death of six nursing home residents.
An influenza outbreak hit the Strathdevon aged care facility at Latrobe between August 9 and 16, claiming the lives of six people.
In a statement on Monday, Director of Public Health Mark Veitch said 14 health and aged care facilities across the state are being monitored.
