Flights have been diverted away from Sydney Airport due to poor weather, causing hour-long delays on domestic flights.
Passengers posting their frustration on social media have reported flights being diverted to Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane.
One Facebook user reported being diverted to Tamworth as Canberra had reached capacity with other diversions.

Although the weather has now reportedly eased, there will be an hour-long delay on domestic flights for some time until the backlog eases.
The Sydney Airport Twitter account is instructing passengers to check with their airline for the latest information.
